Dream In The PastIt was a common scene. Everyone else in the room sat around chatting and idling while Niall sat in the corner, his computer screen flickering just below his eyeline as he stared out the window. On a dull day his mind would stay in the room, throwing up products of his dirty mind. On a day like this though that could never happen, the world outside was too pure and beautiful to have those thoughts.

Taking A Chance: Part 3It was a torturous morning, nothing he did could keep his mind off what Gemma had said. He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he barely noticed when the class bully Mark came up behind him and span his chair, causing him to crash to the floor. The howls of laughter from all sides stung as much as they usually did while they lasted, as usual it just took one of Gemma’s evil looks to shut everyone up. To get some degree of sanity back he glanced over at David to see that he hadn’t even looked up from his work. It always helped to remind himself that although David wasn’t keen on him he was no friend of Mark’s either.

Taking A Chance: Part 2The journey was the same every day. Get the bus into town, buy a drink, get the bus up to college and come up with some way of getting through the day. The usual tirade of gay jokes hit as he arrived in the corridor and sat on the floor. He had headphones on as usual but he knew they always shot them off on the off chance that he’d crack and throw a punch at one of them.

Taking A Chance: Part 1It was late Thursday morning as Niall lay in his bed hitting the snooze button again. He’d lost count of how many times he’d done it this morning since his alarm clock first woke him at 7am but he knew it was long past that time now.   
Glancing over at the glowing clock he spent a few minutes working out the time. He was fond of the clock much as he was fond of everything in his room. He liked the clock though because it told the time in binary language and no one else understood it. It amused his classmates immensely that he had a matching watch but he didn’t care about their opinions. Except one of them.
